Membership and Communications Officer, SASP

We are looking for an experienced Project Officer to be the friendly face of our Members’ network and lead on our voice and communications. This role is for a Membership and Communications Officer within the Support After Suicide Partnership (SASP). You will make a big difference to services in suicide prevention and bereavement support. We need someone brilliant to take the lead in supporting our members and telling our story.  

  • £27,000 per annum 
  • 12 month fixed term contract
  • Full time (35 hours per week) 
  • Hybrid – Linked to Surrey office with most of the time working from home

A little about the role...

We’re looking for someone who can bring their skills, experience and knowledge to help us reach, engage and inspire our different audiences. This is a crucial role that will deliver best-in-class support and communications to successfully engage with our members and stakeholders. 

Someone dies by suicide every 90 mins in the UK and Ireland. Every single one of these deaths is a tragedy and affects around 135 people. There are around 6000 suicides a year in the UK. We are a network of over 80 organisations, who work together to achieve the vision that ‘everyone bereaved or affected by suicide is offered timely and appropriate support’.

About SASP

The Support after Suicide Partnership is a network of over 80 organisations, who work together to achieve the vision that ‘everyone bereaved or affected by suicide is offered timely and appropriate support’. We were founded in 2013 to bring together national and local organisations involved in delivering suicide bereavement support to bring about national change, through Increasing the capacity of local suicide bereavement support, connecting members, stakeholders, and wider fields; pioneering research and resources, and much more. 

We are hosted by Samaritans, whose vision is that fewer people die by suicide.
