Statutory Fundraiser

We are looking for a Statutory Fundraiser to join the High Value Fundraising team at Samaritans. You’ll focus on Statutory Donors and raise income in line with annually agreed targets and strategic organisational need. You’ll work closely with project teams and develop high-quality applications and reporting to foster relationships with Statutory Funders including The National Lottery Community Fund (TNLCF).  

  • Permanent role
  • £35,000-£38,000 per annum plus benefits
  • Full time (35 hours per week)
  • A mix of home working and in the office in Ewell, Surrey, a couple of days per week

We are undergoing exciting service expansion programmes and this role will have high level exposure to our Executive Leadership team and senior Lottery staff. The Person

  • Previous experience of managing bid processes to statutory funders and TNLCF
  • Knowledge of leading a portfolio of funding relationships including funder requirements analysis & best practice
  • Proven track record in successfully securing funding through compelling applications
  • Strong budgeting experience - numeracy skills and budget creation (full cost recovery) and present financial reporting
  • An excellent communicator with both verbal and written storytelling skills
  • Exceptional organisational skills, attention to detail and deadline management
  • Passionate about high quality stakeholder engagement and collaboration
  • Knowledge of fundraising databases, we use ThankQ (desirable)
